Deb – Double Whammy!

Yes, my friends, I love Jean Claude van Damme martial arts movies.  Something about the accent, the muscles from Brussels, and the inscrutible determination on JCVD’s face in every single movie.  Gets me every time.   So why is it JCVD day today?

I not only parked where the free parking is – I walked it TWICE today!!  It took me 13 minutes down the huge hill to get to work.  Looked forward to a great day at that place, when sudden phone call… child without uniform requires immediate attention.. and off I go back UP the HUGE hill.  I swear on the sweat of JCVD’s brow… I did it in EXACTLY 13 minutes – which is the same time it took me to go down!  And then I did it again! These salsa legs must have been begging for exercise.   YAY!! Now I know exactly what I’m up against, how hard it is, and about how many times I’m able to do it in a day.   Eh Jean-Claude?  Jean-Claude: I admit I do have a very nice butt. Some say my career was built on it! Deb:  Yes, but sweetie, I was talking about the hill.             Jean-Claude:  Oh.

And Here’s the Hard Facts about Today:

Breakfast

  • Oatmeal  and blueberries – 5 points

Snack

  • Cranberries and almonds – 3 points
  • Ciabatta bun from Superstore (2 points) with mozza cheese – 4 points

Lunch

  • Rhubarb-strawberry applesauce – 2 points
  • Lean Cuisine Thai Peanut Noodle stuff – 6 points
  • Hot Coffee and Cold Coffee – 2 points.  Thinking of playing around with a recipe for homemade Coffee-Mate, but must be cheaper and more convenient.

Supper

  • Stirfry and rice –  8 points

30 points total!!  I can’t remember how many exercise points I get, but I’ve probably already eaten them last week.  haha.

Emotional:

I feel great.  Full of energy and realizing maybe I should go to bed.  I have done a lot of things today!  I had a talk with God last night about feeling a huge block when it comes to that new age-y “imagine your success” ploy.  I’ve had a few big obstacles in my head that have been there for quite a while just keeping the “good life” just outside my grasp.  I had no idea that today God was going to show me exactly what I could accomplish – or how it would make me feel.  😀

Water:

Well, water is always a struggle.  I am drinking a glass before I leave the house in the mornings now, which is great.   I’m taking care and learning from the master.

Jean: God gave me a great body and it’s my duty to take care of my physical temple.   Deb:  Uh-huh… Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!… I guess that’s why we say In God We Trust!!

So, today I’m signing off a winner!!  I know this aint no Bloodsport, but it’s still a game that takes skill, calculated risks, training, and

and one more thing…

Jean-Claude: My last fight was more than 20 years ago. I’m not a fighter, I’m a lover. If somebody’s going to speak bad about me, I will walk away. But if a guy like Steven Seagal slaps me once, I will slap him twice as hard.

Deb:  So would I, Baby, so would I.
